As the Belgian dealership expanded, the importance of "safety" grew proportionally. What started as a small family business has now become an organization with 160 employees spread across five locations. "That’s why we have specifically hired people to oversee our workplace safety," says managing director Nico Raes.

A crisis manager has been appointed to focus on creating a safe and reliable working environment where every team member, from mechanic to showroom staff, feels protected.

The challenge

The company operates multiple locations, each with its own unique safety challenges. From working with heavy vehicles in the workshop to interacting with customers in the showroom, each department comes with its own risks.

"That’s why we have set up an intervention team. These individuals are trained as corporate emergency responders and can act in cases of injuries, fires, or incidents involving hazardous materials," says Gloria Marmenout, Quality and Prevention Officer.

The solution

"With so many diverse activities, we need a system that not only provides oversight but is also flexible enough to adapt to the specific needs of each department," explains Marmenout. The crisis manager particularly appreciates the oversight Safeguard offers: "It allows me to keep an overview of all locations and stay informed of any incidents."
